Congratulations to Kirsten Venema, a Multilingual Learner teacher at Ephesus Elementary School, today’s CHCCS CHAMPion! Kirsten was nominated by CHCCS parent Emilia Chylek. “She takes care of all the aspects of children's welfare at school. Mrs. Venema retires this year so the prize would be a good recognition of her engagement in making emigrated children feel welcome and safe in American schools.”
