We are participating in Hour of Code for its sixth year with a focus on solving challenges with code during Computer Science Education Week.
This year's code.org theme is "What WilL You Create?"
Each morning during Computer Science Education Week (December 3-9), students will learn about a young person or team who creatively use code to solve community problems, such as contaminated water, inclusive access for people with disabilities, and job creation. These solutions address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, known as Global Goals or #TeachSDGs.
Every class from Pre-K through fifth grade will have an opportunity to use creativity, communication, teamwork, and computational thinking skills to solve obstacles with robots and other physical computing apps. Robot challenges include Sphero, Cubetto, Dash and Dot, Cubelets, and Bee-bot.
