Weekly Message - 3/24/24
Hello Ephesus families! Here is your weekly update for March 25-29th:
Teacher Workday & Spring Break: Friday, March 29th is a teacher workday. There is no school for students. This is also a reminder that April 1st-5th is spring break.
Playground/Blacktop Usage: Please be mindful of the afterschool program start times and exit the blacktop and playground areas by 2:45pm. Once the Community Schools program children begin arriving outside, all families not in that program are expected to leave the area and can return at 6pm or on weekends.
SUN Bucks: North Carolina is launching a new food assistance program for school-aged children and families during the summer months. Families who qualify will be sent a debit-like benefits card in the mail.
- Visit this website for more information about the SUN Bucks program.
- ACTION REQUESTED: For families who qualify, the benefit cards will be sent to the mailing address listed in your child’s PowerSchool account. Please confirm by Thursday, March 28 that the mailing address in PowerSchool is correct and up-to-date with the best address for the summer months.
- If you need to update your address, please submit a change of address form and proof of residency to the district registrar. Click here for more information.
Yearbooks: Good news! Yearbooks are still on sale through April 19th! Pre-order now to guarantee you will receive one by the end of the school year. Yearbooks are $20 each, or $25 if you want your name printed on the front cover. Visit the Ephesus website to see how you can order online, or you can bring cash or check (made out to Ephesus) to your classroom teacher. See the attached flyer for more details.

School Social Worker Update from Ms. Daniels:
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you that I have made the difficult decision to resign from CHCCS. This decision was not easy, but it is best for my family at this time. I have enjoyed working alongside you, and most importantly, I have cherished the relationships I have built with the students. While I'm excited about the upcoming journey ahead of me, leaving Ephesus is bittersweet. I have enjoyed my time here, and the families, staff, and students have played a significant role in making it an enjoyable experience for me. My last day in the building will be Friday, March 29th. To ensure continued support for our students and families, our student services staff will collaborate to assist families and provide important information and resources. Please contact the front office, and your call will be directed to the right person.
Kind regards,
Ms. Daniels
