Culbreth Announcements

  • Susan Meyer has been awarded the Society for Classical Studies Prize for Excellence in Teaching at the Precollegiate Level. This is the top teaching award in the nation for teachers of Latin and Greek! The nomination and selection process is extremely rigorous and included some truly tearjerking letters from students, parents, and colleagues. Susan will receive a cash prize as well as an all inclusive trip to San Diego or NYC to receive the award. Congratulations, Ms. Meyer! So well deserved!

  • Are you ready to get hairy? The Culbreth TSA is sponsoring No-Shave November, an event to increase awareness of the impact of cancer on our lives, and to raise money to contribute to the American Cancer Society.

Why is it called No-Shave November? The goal is to grow awareness by embracing our hair - which many cancer patients lose during treatment - and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming, to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

Participate by growing a beard or mustache, letting those legs go natural, or skipping that waxing appointment! Already hairy? Skip the grooming and donate what you would have paid!

Go to this link to learn more and start getting hairy!
