Superintendent’s Student Equity & Empathy Ambassadors Program

The Office of Equity & Engagement (Student Leadership & Engagement) is now accepting applications for the Student Equity & Empathy Ambassadors program. This group will meet with Superintendent Dr. Nyah Hamlett throughout the year to learn about upcoming district programs and initiatives and provide advice to her from a student’s perspective. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to identify challenging equity issues in our schools and discuss viable solutions. Ideally, three to five student representatives from each high school will serve as ambassadors. If you are interested in collaboratively developing your leadership skills while representing your school community and building a positive school climate, this program is for you! Students should submit applications to Lorie Clark at  Equity_ambassador@chccs.k12.nc.us by Thursday, August 31, 2023. Applications can be accessed by clicking this link Equity & Empathy Ambassador Application
