Mission statement: The LGBTQ Center of Durham supports LGBTQ+ people through services, programming, resources, and support networks that center their well-being and allows them to thrive. Support and resources run the spectrum of LGBTQIA+ needs, including a lending library and youth center. Mission Statement: Equality North Carolina builds LGBTQ+ power through advocacy, education, and uplifting the stories of queer and trans-North Carolinians in pursuit of racial and social justice. 

Education Policy

Working towards statewide nondiscrimination of LGBTQIA+ identities, Equality NC has specific resources for students, families, and educators including steps to take when updating your name in PowerSchool, advocating for GSAs/QSAs, and gender support plans for transitioning students.

Mission Statement: The Corner is a teen-driven programming collective that amplifies and affirms youth experiences through opportunities for creative expression, peer-to-peer connection, and community engagement.
