This invitation was an opportunity for our community to help shape the direction of our schools for years to come and provided a space to share opinions, concerns and suggestions for where we are going as a school district – and how we can succeed in that journey.
A strategic plan is a guiding document that provides a road map for growth and change. A steering committee of more than three dozen members (students, staff, parents, faith leaders, business leaders and representatives from higher education) has already convened for its first meeting, and they will continue to collect recommendations and essential questions during upcoming months.
It’s time for us to be thinking differently about school as we identify and then close existing achievement and opportunity gaps.
Sincerely,
