Only parents or legal guardians may register students. Legal guardians must present court-ordered custody or guardianship documentation. Notarized statements and powers of attorney are not acceptable.

  •  ***UPDATE*** During the pandemic, you do not need to appear in person at Lincoln Center. You may either upload your registration documents when you are prompted by the online pre-registration form or email your registration documents to registration@chccs.k12.nc.us. Smith Middle Update

  • The Board of Education voted to re-open Smith Middle to students domiciled in the Smith attendance zone for the 2021-22 school year.

At its March 4, 2021 meeting, the Board approved a plan to re-open Smith Middle School to students domiciled in the Smith attendance zone. Students zoned to Smith and previously reassigned to other middle schools may request to attend Smith before April 15.

Middle school enrollment will be monitored carefully; if any middle school reaches 107% capacity, new students will be assigned to another middle school based on available space and high school assignment. Transportation will be provided.
