• Mission and Services

    The Student Services Department at CHHS is dedicated to supporting students' academic and socio-emotional development, while also assisting students with career and college planning. The department is comprised of school counselors, social workers, a mental health specialist, a student assistance specialist, a career development coordinator, and a student records/office manager.

    During this event, counselors provided an overview of the course registration process for students, updates regarding course curriculum/options, and reviewed required course sequencing for each grade level.  Departments provided the information they would normally share if this event was conducted in-person through links embedded in the presentation.

    Counselors will meet with all students individually virtually from February 15 - March 25 to answer questions and finalize course registration submissions. Details regarding scheduling these meetings will be available for 11th graders the week of February 8 using the Yearbook Google Classroom set up by Mr. Stanfa. 9th and 10th grade appointment information will be shared in the weeks to come. Every current 9th-11th grade student will have the opportunity to meet with a counselor. We ask that you please wait to email questions until after these individual student meetings. Students from Ms. Wallace's caseload will be split as such:

    PowerSchool online registration will open soon. Be reminded that students may only submit their requests once, so please hold off submitting until you are certain of your choices. 

    If you are interested in a special program such as NCVPS, Dual Enrollment, Cross Enrollment, a Free Period (Senior only) or a Teacher Assistant period, Please complete this Google Form

     

    Transcript Requests

    Students may begin to request transcripts for colleges/universities using this link: CHHS Transcript Request Form.  There is a fee of $5 per request.  After completing the request form, payments should be submitted using the K12 Payment Center link.

     

     

    Greetings Class of 2021, it's time to start planning for graduation!

     

    Graduation Product Ordering:

    Herff Jones is the vendor for graduation products for our students. Orders for graduation materials can be completed online at WWW.HIGHSCHOOL.HERFFJONES.COM.  The linked video includes instructions on how to place an order.  All orders will be completed online this year, however, information packets will be available Friday, October 30th at the senior t-shirt pickup event.When placing an order, please be sure to consider the following: 

    • All students must have a black cap and gown, 2021 tassel and gold stole to participate in the graduation ceremony.  These items are all included in Option D when ordering on the Herff Jones Website.  
    • Students are allowed to use a cap/gown from a former student if it's not more than two years old.  Caps and gowns that have been used multiple years often look worn and can end up being a significantly different color than newer gowns. Students wishing to purchase only a tassel and/or stole may do so online using either Option E or F. 
    • Purchase of any additional items (such as invitations, class rings, apparel, etc) is completely optional. When ordering these items, please be sure to indicate appropriate sizes.

    If you have specific questions about graduation orders/products, please contact Herff Jones Varsity Graduation Products at 336-228-7770 or email cwieczorek@herffjones.com.  All students should complete an order by March 1, 2021. Delivery of orders completed after this date can be delayed and may not arrive prior to graduation. 

     

    CHCCS Graduation Fee:

    Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools requires a graduation fee of $20 from each student participating in the June 2021 Ceremony. This fee covers the cost of diploma printing, diploma covers and ceremony decor.  This fee must be paid online via the K12 Payment Center (see link on CHHS Website) by March 1, 2021. Make sure the payment is made under CHHS to ensure proper processing.Please mark your calendars for Saturday, June 12th!  Additional details regarding graduation rehearsal, ceremony parking, directions, etc. will be provided at a later date.

    College Application Night Presentation and Virtual Q&A

    College Application Night Presentation:
