This building will feature a two-story classroom wing and a one-story administration and arts wing as part of its design.

Yes, we are working to provide the space for the school to recreate the garden as it exists today.

The existing parking counts do not meet current code requirements. We also need to be mindful to provide parking for teachers close to the new building, as many teachers arrive early in the morning (in the dark, at times) and have a need to be able to easily transport materials and supplies from their car into the building without walking a long distance.

The existing building and site were constructed prior to the current code, which requires all carpool queuing to occur on site rather than off-site as it currently does. The number of cars in that queue will be determined by state regulatory agencies. We will be required to bring the carpool lane directly to the front of the new building entrance and we also need to provide parking in close proximity for teachers. We are limited as to where the new building, the new parking and drives can be located, due to the requirement to keep the existing school in operation during construction, but every effort is being made to minimize site disturbance while also ensuring a safe pedestrian environment.
