Carrboro High School CDM Application
Dear Student/Parent: This application is ONLY for Carrboro High School students. Please read all the information on the district website regarding eligibility and frequently asked questions about CDM. Filling out this application means you are committed to the two phase assessment process; each assessment will take between two and four hours. PLEASE NOTE: This form must be completed in its entirety for EACH assessment a student wishes to CDM. For example, if a student wants to CDM 2 courses, then the form must be completed 2 times. Additionally, please note that you will receive an email receipt of your responses to this survey. This email will serve as your verification of your application. If for some reason the student is deemed not eligible, the school will contact the student.

For the 15th Year, the Public School Foundation and East Rotary Provide School Supplies to Teachers
For 15 years, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation and East Chapel Hill Rotary Club have partnered to kick off the school year by hosting a supply store with much needed school supplies for teachers. The past two years have brought many challenges as the event has been reconfigured as COVID-safe. But on the morning of August 19, a team of PSF and Rotary members and community volunteers carried out the annual event of giving school supplies to grateful teachers across the district.

"Real Talk" Changes the Climate at Carrboro HS
At Carrboro High School, staff and administrators’ conversations about creating a schoolwide Real Talk program began two years ago, before there were any inklings of the pandemic ahead. The essential mission of the program is to allow for a more holistic approach to supporting students beyond the obvious goals of academic success.

CHCCS Honors Staff at Virtual Annual Recognition Reception
Brian Link of East Chapel Hill High, was named the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) Teacher of the Year at the virtual annual Recognition Reception on May 26.

Carrboro HS and CHHS Men's Tennis Teams Win State Titles
Despite the extraordinary challenges presented by the pandemic since March 2020, CHCCS athletics programs have truly put on a display of strength and excellence. The latest representatives came from Chapel Hill High School and Carrboro High School. On May 15 their Men’s Tennis teams won the NCHSAA 2A and 3A state championships, as well as the individual titles, by Aidan Chung and Dennis Perumov.

Firefighting and EMT Students Collaborate with Carrboro Fire Dept
On Monday, May 10, an exciting and educational collaboration took place at Chapel Hill High School, with students from the Firefighting classes and EMT classes (Public Safety Academy) working with the Carrboro Fire Department (CFD) on a simulated emergency.
