  • In order for your application to be processed you must upload all of the required documents.  An incomplete application will not be processed. 
    • Required documents to consider the application: 1. Proof of student age 2. Parent identification (both parents) 3. Proof of residency 4.  Proof of income (both parents)

      • Currently, acceptable proofs of residency include the following documents: Current lease or rental agreement; Current Orange County property tax bill; Settlement statement on the purchase of a home; Unseparated Duke Energy, OWASA, Public Service Gas bill, or Piedmont Electric bill or Residency affidavit

    • Required documents within 30 days: 5. Health  Assessment, 6. Dental Assessment, & 7. Immunizations.

For your application to be included in the Pre-K Lottery, this must be noted on application as your first placement option. You are only permitted to note 1 dual language school ( Carrboro and Frank Porter Graham) in your top choices.

Application processing timeline:

Returning families will know there placement by email on 4/17/26. 

• First round February 9- March 31 is CLOSED!
  • The 1st round of acceptance will be on May 4, 2026 
• Second round April 1- May 30 
  • ​​​​​​​The 2nd round of acceptance will be on June 29, 2026. 
• Third round June 1- July 30 
  • ​​​​​​​The 3rd round of acceptance will be on August 20, 2026. 

All  families that are not accepted will be placed on a waitlist.
