Digital Learning Overview
Digital learning in CHCCS is the purposeful use of digital tools and resources to support strong teaching and meaningful student learning. Technology is used when it adds instructional value and is balanced with discussion, collaboration, print materials, hands-on experiences, movement, and teacher-led instruction.
Our work is guided by the CHCCS Digital Learning Plan, which establishes consistent expectations for developmentally appropriate technology use, digital safety, student well-being, professional learning, and the selection of high-quality digital resources.
What Digital Learning Includes
Purposeful Technology Use
Digital tools are used to support clear learning goals and provide opportunities for students to create, communicate, collaborate, research, and solve problems.
Digital Citizenship and Safety
Students learn to protect their privacy, evaluate information, communicate responsibly, and make safe and ethical choices online.
District-Approved Digital Resources
Digital resources are reviewed for instructional value, accessibility, privacy, security, age appropriateness, and alignment with district priorities.
Student Devices and Access
CHCCS provides students with developmentally appropriate access to devices, digital resources, and connectivity based on grade level and instructional need.
Educator Support
Digital Learning Coaches partner with teachers and school leaders to plan instruction, provide professional learning, and support the purposeful use of digital resources.
