COVID-19 COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER CAMP UPDATE
Due to the rapidly changing events surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Schools has made the difficult decision to cancel summer camps in 2020. The health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Families with questions may contact the Community Schools office at (919)967-8211.Summer Camp Registration & InformationA completed Summer Camp Registration Form and Enrollment Form (located at the bottom of the page) along with the $40 registration fee and $60 deposit for each week requested must be mailed to theCommunity Schools office at 750 S. Merritt Mill Road, Chapel Hill NC 27516.Please make checks payable to CHCCS.

Campers express themselves creatively and learn that art is notlimited to painting and drawing. They have lots of opportunities to participate in a variety of artistic activities.July 7-July 10*SUPER SCIENCE SPECTACULAR - Campers spark their curiosity for science and have ideas come to life. They engage in creative learning throughhands-on activities and experiments.July 13-July 17CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS - Let's travel the world together! Campers explore games, trivia and customs from around the globe. Culturaldance, crafts, styles of art, and more are discovered.July 20-July 24SPASHTOPIA - Just add water! Campers splash through this week of all the fun-filled, water activities they can stand.July 27-July 31FOOD, FRIENDS, FAREWELL - Campers enjoy another epic week of adventure through culinary exploration, exciting activities with friends and aSpectacular Summer Camp Celebration!*Closed Monday, July 6Lunch/SnacksLunch and two snacks are provided daily through the school district's Child Nutrition Program.TransportationParents must transport children to and from camp each day. Due to the events surrounding COVID-19, the 2020 Summer Youth Enrichment Program has been cancelledSUMMER YOUTH ENRICHMENTSummer Youth Enrichment features a variety of enrichment courses for students in grades K-12. Course topics include arts, crafts, drama, creative writing, cooking, technology, science, music, physical education/sports. Instructors are CHCCS employees and other community professionals offering courses in their areas of expertise.Summer Youth Enrichment registration begins March 24, 2020. Summer Youth Enrichment courses for 2020 will be available from June 22 to July 31. Fees vary by course. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
