How to apply:
- In order to complete the fillable Enrollment Form, you must first download the form from the link below. You may also print the form and complete manually.

- Complete one Enrollment Form per child.
- Submit to the Community Schools Office.

Bring in person to the Sheryl Mar Building located at 521 S. Greensboro Street, Carrboro NC 27510 (office hours: 8am-5pm)
- You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application and your enrollment status within 5 business days (a space offered or a waitlist placement).
Acceptance and Payment
If you are offered a space in After-School, you have 2 business days to accept and make a payment of $160.00 per child ($40.00 registration fee and $120.00 deposit)
Waitlist
Due to limited available space, a waitlist will be created for each program site. No payment is required to be placed on the waitlist. Waitlist status does not roll over from year-to-year.
PLEASE NOTE: Community Schools reserves the right to prioritize enrollment of children of district employees or in unique circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee the next available space in the program.
Elementary After-School Program Information
After-School is a school-age care program offered at each of the eleven elementary schools in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools district. The program provides a balance of structured and free-choice activities designed to stimulate the students’ social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.After-School Offers...
- trained staff and a safe, stimulating environment
- theme-related activities in arts, crafts, music, dramatic play, science, language arts, cooking, and more
- organized indoor and outdoor games and physical activities
- homework and quiet time
- guest presenters and performers, including storytellers, magicians, drama and dance groups
- “club” activities that foster individual interests of students
- field trips
- time for social interaction with a diverse group of peers
