UNC Hospital School Announcements
What makes craters on the moon? How do birds fly?
This summer, a very special partner of UNC Hospital School, Wonder Connection, will help students answer those questions and more in a weekly program called "Science in the Sunroom," meeting Thursdays from 1-3 in the sunroom on the 7th floor.
With a new theme each week, the Science in the Sunroom program will allow students to explore the natural world, from the animals and plants of North Carolina to Space!
Phillips Middle School's Kaleigh Vogan Honored with Exceptional Children Educator of Excellence Award
To meet Kaleigh Vogan is to encounter one of the brightest stars in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro galaxy; overused as the saying might be, Vogan truly shines, day in and day out. Her powerful impact and gifts as an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher at Phillips Middle School earned her the 2018 award as Exceptional Children Educator of Excellence.
The first Child Nutrition event of the school year, Bring a Guest to Lunch Day, has become a cherished tradition. The 11 CHCCS elementary schools all participate, with some schools hosting more than 75 parents, grandparents and other adults on the designated day.
