    Google Meet Issues Troubleshooting Tips:
    If you're having issues joining Google Meet session on your CHCCS Chromebook, try the following steps:
    1. Sign out to get back to the main login screen (screen that appears when the Chromebook is turned ON).
    2. Next to where your email address is showing, click on the pull-down arrow and choose "Remove this Person".
    3. It will prompt saying, "Are you sure ....".  Click "Yes".
    4. An empty sign-on box will appear.  Please type in your email address and password. 
     
    Zscaler Issue Troubleshooting Tip:
    If you see the following page on your CHCCS Chromebook, type your school email into the box and hit Sign In. If it asks for a username & password, that means you spelled your school email incorrectly. Open up a new tab and try again.

  • Crystal Epps at Scroggs Elementary Named CHCCS Principal of the Year

    Crystal Epps of Mary Scroggs Elementary School (MSES) has been named the 2019-2020 Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Principal of the Year. Chosen by her peers, Epps will represent CHCCS at the state level for consideration as North Carolina Principal of the Year. “Crystal Epps has provided strong, creative leadership in our district for many years,” said Interim Superintendent, Dr. Jim Causby. “She blends extensive experience in PBIS, equity work and data analysis with a passion for elevating her school’s culture and identity.”

  • CHCCS Says Goodbye to Legendary Leader and Beacon

    When the history and legends of public education in Chapel Hill and Carrboro are shared, R.D. and Euzelle Smith rise foremost in many remembrances. Together and individually, they were giants in the community, as public servants, role models and truth-tellers. Euzelle Patterson Smith passed away on September 19 at the age of 101.

  • "Start with Hello" Reminds Students to Practice Inclusion and Kindness

    On a Wednesday morning in September, Glenwood Elementary School (GES) counselor, William Rathbun, joined a class of fifth students at 8:00 online to talk with them about loneliness and connection during remote learning. “I want you to think about how we take care of each other and connect with each other while we’re learning online,” Rathbun said. “We can still stay connected -- it’s just different.”
