LGBTQIA+ Supports and Policy

    • CHCCS Policy 1710/4020/7230 states: The board acknowledges the dignity and worth of all students and employees and strives to create a safe, orderly, caring, and inviting school environment to facilitate student learning and achievement.  The board prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, disability, or age…
    • Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in federally funded education programs and activities. The DOE is committed to complying with Title IX and ensuring that DOE schools and workplaces are free of sex discrimination.
    • The federal Equal Access Act guarantees your right to start GSA’s/QSA’s and that schools must treat all clubs fairly.
