Dr. Jill Freeman

After graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education, Jill Hall-Freeman began her career as a middle school math teacher and spent 13 years in the classroom before pursuing school administration. Dr. Freeman was a North Carolina Principal Fellow and earned her Masters of School Administration and Doctorate degrees from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She served as an elementary assistant principal and principal in Guilford County and a middle school principal and Executive Director of Leadership and Professional Learning in Durham County before coming to Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Dr. Freeman recnetly joined the CHCCCS team as the Executive Director of Professional Learning where she is working to create a culture of professional growth where professional learning is valued as a vessel to improve outcomes for students. Additionally, she is passionate about growing strong leaders through her work with assistant principals and other leaders in the district. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid NCSU Wolfpack fan and beachgoer!

Mrs. Glenda Sanders

Mrs. Glenda Sanders has been a part of the CHCCS team for over 12 years.  She currently serves as a Program Specialist serving both the Professional Learning and Equity & Inclusion departments. 


Who is YOUR Professional Learning Champion?

  • Each school has a Professional Learning Champion who is dedicated to promoting high quality professional learning across our district. The PL Champion serves as a school-based liaison for the Professional Learning office to assist with communication, feedback, and long-range professional growth planning.
