Ms. DeMarco

Hi! I’m Toni De Marco, the leader of the Superstar Team of Room 107! This is my 23rd year with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. I’ve been here at Morris Grove teaching kindergarten since it opened. I live with my 2 little lovies—a very active 17 month old boy named Luca and a small, black, furry toy poodle named Rocco. When I’m not teaching, I spend my time playing with my boys, reading, gardening, quilting, cooking for family & friends, and traveling. I used to say,”domestic or international, it doesn’t matter,” but now that I have a toddler, I have to hold off on the international travel for awhile. I am definitely looking forward to an exciting year of learning with your children—the Superstars of Room 107. Peace Love Geckos!

Mr. Glasser

Hi! My name is Adam Glasser and I am a first year kindergarten teacher at Morris Grove!  I grew up in Chapel Hill and attended Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. I went to UNC Chapel Hill where I majored in History and minored in Public Policy. After graduating, I moved to San Francisco, California for where I served with AmeriCorps for a year at an inner-city elementary school. I then returned to North Carolina because I wanted the opportunity to teach in my home district. enrolled in graduate school at the NC State School of Education, and I graduated in December 2017 with my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education. Although this is my first year as a classroom teacher, I have served many roles at Morris Grove over the last two years: a second grade teacher assistant, a kindergarten student teacher, and a second grade long-term substitute. I am thrilled to be a Gecko again this school year!

Outside of school, I enjoy reading and playing soccer and basketball. I love to travel, especially to National Parks in the Western United States. I am also one of the biggest Tar Heel basketball fans you will ever meet.

This school year, I hope to empower, inspire, and engage my students! Go Geckos!

Ms. Kerr

Hi, I'm Miss. Kerr! I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education. (Go Heels!) I love teaching because there is never a dull moment!  My ultimate goal in teaching is to impact my students’ lives in two ways: 1) let them know they are special and loved, and 2) help them discover a passion and/or interest in learning. I am so excited to be a part of your child's and your family's life!

When I am not teaching, I love to bake, garden, and exercise. I grew up in Apex, North Carolina with my five younger (but taller) brothers. My favorite food is cheesecake and my favorite color is blue.

I am looking forward to a great year with your child. Welcome Explorers of Room 106!

We need your help!  In order for Gecko Grove to be successful, we need donations of items for the students to sell . Please click Gecko Grove Wish List to sign up for something to donate.  Thanks for your help!

Ms. Marrow

Hi, I am Ms. Marrow. I obtained my degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in college, I worked as a nanny for many parents in the Chapel Hill area. When I am not teaching I like to curl up with a good book and read for hours. I was a drama major in high school, so I like to integrate the arts into my classroom. My goal is to see your children grow both emotionally and academically. I will provide them with the tools they need to learn and mature and have a good foundation to succeed in the rest of their academic careers. I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach your children and I know we will have a wonderful year together.
