  • Eighth Grade Students Tour High School CTE Programs

    Many eighth grade students have never stepped foot in our CHCCS high schools, but for the first year, nearly 1,000 of them were able to ride buses to the schools they will attend next year, to explore the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available in our high schools.

  • Gizmos Come to School

    The online learning company, ExploreLearning offers Gizmos as an expanding library of more than 400 interactive science simulations, and to the delight of many teachers and students, CHCCS won a 2019-2020 Gizmos Science Success Grant to use in selected middle and high school classes across the district.

  • "Driving is Exhausting" Reminds Drivers to Stop Idling

    For parents who drive their children to and from CHCCS schools, keep an eye out for new signs in the drop-off zones. “Driving is Exhausting” signs will stay up for two weeks as part of a No Idling campaign, spearheaded in large part by the energetic and exuberant Green Team at Phillips Middle School.

  • Public School Foundation Hosts Novice Teachers Tea

    After a string of extremely hot days, the weather in Chapel Hill cooperated, cooling off in honor of the newest CHCCS teachers to enjoy a patio celebration at the Weathervane Restaurant, for the twelfth annual Public School Foundation (PSF) Novice Teachers’ Tea.This year, the event was co-sponsored by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Association of Educators (CHCAE).
