        DUAL LANGUAGE OPPORTUNITIES:

        Our district includes three dual language elementary schools- two Spanish DL elementary schools, and one Mandarin DL elementary school. If you are a licensed teacher who is fluent in either Spanish or Mandarin, please consider applying for opportunities as they become available.         Our district employs more than 1,900 staff members, including 1,200 teachers. We are the second largest employer in Orange County, after UNC-Chapel Hill.

        Our Students

        CHCCS has the lowest dropout rate in the state, one of the highest graduation rates, and the highest average SAT scores in North Carolina.

        Our Teachers

        At the middle and high school levels, 100% of our classes are taught by Highly Qualified Teachers, and 99% of our elementary teachers carry that designation. 43% of our teachers hold advanced degrees, and about 200 are National Board Certified.
